IoT combination antennas may redefine mobile network integration.
Fairview Microwave has unveiled its IoT (internet-of-things) multiband combination antennas. These antennas are designed to support vehicle, fleet, and base station connectivity.
The antennas cover multiple frequency bands, including 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi, and Global Positioning System (GPS)(supporting up to 10 leads), integrated under one radome.
The antennae have built-in GPS/GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) with a low-noise amplifier (LNA). Amplified by a 26 dB gain, it is designed for location tracking and navigational support.
These antennas offer versatile configuration options. They have features that can be beneficial for various applications, including communication for emergency teams, first responders and fleet management.
These antennas include FAKRA (Fachkreis Automobil, a German standard) and SMA (SubMiniature version A) connectors with 17-foot cable leads. The antennas also have multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) capabilities and UV (ultraviolet radiation) stabilized ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) construction for longevity.
They are rated IP69K, indicating they are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. It signifies their adaptability and durability as they can withstand challenging environmental conditions.
“These IoT combination antennas fortify our commitment to powering the next generation of mobile network solutions,” said product line manager Kevin Hietpas. “Our aim has always been to ensure unhindered communication, especially for those on whom countless lives depend, such as first responders and emergency service providers. This product echoes that sentiment.”
Fairview Microwave is a subsidiary of Infinite Electronics, provider of on-demand RF, microwave and millimeter-wave components.
